Valley Arts VT is a Vermont registered 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization, whose mission is to support the multiple interests of the Mad River Valley by encouraging and promoting participation in the Arts. We do this by producing events, hosting art exhibitions, aggregating regional activities into an arts calendar, printing the Waitsfield Art Walk map and the full-color Program Booklet, highlighting the summer-long Vermont Festival of the Arts. Our online presence includes this website, a Facebook page, an emailed monthly Newsletter and occasional other social media.
Our goal is to offer local, regional and national gallery exhibitions, host open and informative talks, presentations and music performances, sponsor and hold workshops and classes for all ages, manage a unique events space, and maintain an arts gift shop. We also actively promote the artistic endeavors of other arts-related businesses and organizations, many of which can be found in our Events/Exhibitions calendar.
Valley Arts activities are targeted to people of all ages: residents, second-homeowners, and visitors.
The Mad River Valley is the geographic center of Vermont and Valley Arts is the center for the arts – a hub for creative activity. The primary aim of Valley Arts is to support artists, the arts, and our community. Enhanced by the expansion of Valley Arts Festival Gallery and Studio, we’ve created a central location for outstanding art exhibits, for challenging and interesting art workshops and classes – a place where local artists and art lovers of all ages are welcome. Valley Arts VT is managed by a Board of Directors, an Executive Director, and part-time office and events staff. A strong corps of volunteers support our ongoing work.
