With all the summer Arts activities filling up our calendars, plus the desire to be outdoors on these warm, light-filled evenings, we’ve decided to:
1 – give Billy Brauer the summer off. The Tuesday night Drop-in Figure painting classes will resume in the fall.
2 – let you know that there are only a couple of spots left in Ann Abgott’s three-day watercolor workshop. Complete info in the following post- and in the June Events Calendar, including registration form and prospectus.
3 – scratch the June Sip n’ Paint event, and gear up for a biggie in July.
July 7th, the weekend of the Mad Marathon, we’re planning an outdoor (rain or shine) Sip n’ Paint. Jack Garvin’s Big Basin Band will set the beat. Rita Ioannidis will lead brush-wielding artists of all abilities. Flags are the subject. Paints, brushes and something to paint on will be provided by Valley Arts. Food trucks and a cash bar by Home Plate will round out the festivities. Painting starts at 6:30. Sign up in advance, $25 fee – go to valleyartsvt.com/event/sip-n-paint
4 – see if there’s enough interest in an outdoor, once a week, low-key, no instructor painting group. Let Dotty Kyle know what appeals to you – daytime? early evening? weekday? weekend? Email: email@example.com
Stay tuned for more to come!
